First of all we must acquire land. We have located an 1100 acre farm in the Hill Country of Texas that is ideal for our needs.
We are working with Colorado Kin's Domains to acquire funding.
Colorado Kin's Domains has been formed for the purpose of establishing infinitely sustainable "kin's domain" settlements throughout Colorado and North America (on the model presented in the Ringing Cedars Books) that are dynamic, powerful and life altering to the residents and the surrounding communities near and far. After we purchase land we will have planning work to do with the county and then surveying the land and dividing into common areas, roads and domains. Then we can begin planting and building on the common areas and the domains.
Our homes will be modest dwellings built of non-toxic, locally obtained, natural materials. Passive solar and other proven energy saving design techniques will be required.
We commit to carefully stewarding water, minimizing our use of this precious element and protecting its cleanliness and sources for posterity. Our homes and common buildings will include rainwater catchment and storage.
We will plant thousands of food producing perennial plants, as well as flowers for beauty and fragrance. We will protect, feed and enrich the soil and the myriad life forms of the soil, building soil depth over the generations.
